Creating a(nother) new blog

Starting 2025, I’ve decided to try (again) to make another blog/personal website (again). I’ve tried self-hosting WordPress (technical + clunky editor), a website builder (too expensive for what I need + clunky editor), and Obsidian Publish. I love Obsidian and use it for my notes, but I think I’ll wait to see if their service to publish my notes improves.

I am now using Blot, a service I have tried using before. I thought it was too technical at the time, too much upkeep and learning. However, I have come around to think it might be worth the struggle. At $5 a month, it seems like a good deal for a lightweight blog/personal website. And I can publish it from within my notetaking software across my phone, laptop, and desktop with (relative) ease.
